Le Barn Hotel

On the edge of the Rambouillet forest, Le Barn is hidden inside nature. Surrounded by horses, this hotel of a new kind offers stays in the countryside that will please everyone.

On the edge of the road, a gate opens on pastures with horses. After a few seconds of uncertainty, the hotel logo comforts us that we are at the right place, therefore we follow the white gravel path. We park next to an indoor riding ring and stables and keep on by foot. Then we discover the reception building with its splendid old-fashioned radiator covered with tiles, next to a sitting room. The perfect place to wait before checking-in. We can also enjoy the restaurant and the terrace to have a drink, taste the 4 p.m. snack (cakes on the house) or sunbath in the garden while waiting to discover the rooms.

Where do we sleep?

Rooms are are allocated in several three floors buildings. You can choose to have a view on the pond or on the horses (but these are everywhere so chances are you see a horse even if you had chosen the view on the pond). The sober decoration reminds the early 20th century’s, at least when speaking of the bathrooms. Rooms are made of wooden, the beds are very comfy and each room offers an outside space. Attention is drawn to the nature. At the Barn, you won’t find air conditioning nor mosquito repellents in the plugs (which can lead to a different experience should you be there during a hot weave). Soaps are made not far from there and aren’t packed. This concern for nature feels good!

N.B.: the Barn suite is beautiful (with a fire that they light for you) but not well made for children because there is no space to place an extra bed. So you will have to go for connecting rooms at the risk of increasing the final amount on the bill.

What do we eat?

The concern for nature is the plates too. The chef offers a seasonal menu made of local products. The menu is therefore constantly renewed. Everything is delicious! Regarding the children, the chef adapts the dishes, so you can compose according to the age and the cravings of everyone. If they get bored, ask for coloring notebook and pencils.

In the morning, a buffet made of sweet (bread and jam, pastries, yogurt, granola, etc.) and salty (cold meats and cheeses) is taking place in the restaurant.

What do we do?

Activities are organised on a regular basis, mostly on weekends. Among the most popular, there are yoga, archery and themed walks. The hotel also provides rubber boots, bikes and board games (among other things). Finally, horse riding is obviously an option for enthusiasts.

Le Barn hosts a well-being space including sauna, hammam and outdoor Nordic baths.

The region welcomes a golf course, only a few kilometers away.

Immersed in nature, Le Barn offers a family relaxing break at the country. Ideal to get a change of air for a weekend or for a stop en route to your holiday destination.
